When I was at my grandmother's house over the weekend, she showed me a small photo of her mother and said, "she never went anywhere without a hat and gloves."
I started thinking about how I might have been born in the wrong era. I adore that sense of decorum and poise and grace. I fancy myself more of a hat and gloves kind of gal than an Uggs and track-suit wearer. Image borrowed from AudreyHepburn, LuluMagrath, LillianGish, NormaShearer & RachelBurklundDesigns.

Ooooooooh!!!!!! What a sweet story, I love that ladies of that era all wore hats and gloves. Don't you wish we could jump back in time and be that glamorous every day?! Hope you are well sweet Pink Frenchie!!! xoxo
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Trish!!!
ReplyDeleteMy grandmother & my own mother always wore hats when I was growing up. I think they are SO glamorous and classic - I love the Kentucky Derby strictly because I get to don a gorgeous one myself, ha ha!
ReplyDeleteMy mother wore elegant hats with large brims that accentuated her beauty, calling attention to her exquisite face. When a woman is beautifully dressed, a gorgeous hat is the ultimate accessory.
