Clink, clink, clink. Hear that? That's the sound of melting ice cubes, making room for whiskey. That's the sound of Sunday night.
One of my favorite classic cocktails is the Whiskey Sour.
Recipe:
- 2 shots of Jack Daniels
- half of a large lemon, squeezed
- 1 shot of simple syrup
Garnish with a wedge of lemon and a maraschino cherry.
Allow the drink to mellow for a few minutes before sipping. In no time, you'll be mellowing out too. See, Sundays aren't so bad after all?
Whiskey Sours are a FAV of mine too!
ReplyDeleteI like to serve these with retro appetizers --
triangles of pimento cheese sandwiches,
curried egg salad
or deviled ham
just the sort of tidbits
Joan, Peggy or Betty would serve.
